Vehicle Cover Conditions
Mechanical & Electrical Breakdown Warranty
The following components are covered against Mechanical & Electrical Breakdown (as defined elsewhere in this document) of those items listed below.
Please note any parts not listed are specifically excluded.
Engine – All major internal moving parts of the cylinder block including; Big end bearings, crankshaft, camshaft, pistons, connecting rods, balance shafts, gears, oil pump, variable camshaft timing assembly (Vanos), chains, sprockets, tensioners and including the cylinder head, engine block and liners (but excluding; burnt out valves and valve seats).
Transmission – Manual – gears, synchromesh hubs, shafts, bearings and selector folks, transfer box. Automatic – Gears, internal clutches, synchromesh hubs, shafts, bearings and bands, transfer box, torque converter.
Clutch – All components including pressure plate, friction plate (excludes worn out facing material), ring gear, release bearing, master cylinder, slave cylinder, fork lever, clutch pedal and cable.
Turbo – Turbocharger or supercharger, intercooler and wastegate devices up to 7yrs or 80,000 miles.
Differential – All components including crown wheel and pinion and all other internal mechanical moving parts.
Driveline – All components including drive shafts, prop-shafts, centre bearings, constant velocity joints (excluding rubber boots), universal joints and wheel bearings (excluding wear).
Brakes – All components including servo unit, master cylinder, wheel cylinders, brake calipers, vacuum pump, brake pedal. Excluding friction items and items subject to periodic maintenance and replacement.
Steering – All components including, power steering rack and pinion, power steering box, pressure pipes, idler box, hydraulic and electrical power steering pump, reservoir, steering column joints and bearings, track rod ends (excluding wear).
Suspension – All components including coil springs, pneumatic air springs, shock absorbers, ride height actuators and regulator valves, track control arms and linkages, suspension pump, ball and swivel joints. Excludes bushes.
Cooling System – All components including radiator, engine oil cooler, water pump, cooling fan motor, cooling fan coupling, radiator fan motor, engine temperature sensor, engine temperature gauge, thermostat and thermostat housing.
Heating / Ventilation – All components including heater matrix and heater fan motor, heater box, vents controls.
Electrics – All components including Starter motor, alternator, voltage regulator, ignition coil, sensors, electronic ignition amplifier, relays and switches, electric windows regulators and motors, front and rear windscreen wiper motors and washer motors, electric window motors, sunroof and cabriolet motors, cruise control unit, headlamp motors, horn, multi function indicator stalk switch, alarm control unit and siren.
Fuel System – All components including lift pump, fuel pump, injection pump, injector, fuel level sender unit, throttle body, throttle potentiometer, airflow meter/ air flow sensor.
Air Conditioning – All components including air conditioning condenser, compressor, receiver/ evaporator high pressure pipes (excluding hoses).
Locks – All components including central locking solenoids, handles, barrels and catches (excluding damage).
Seals / Gaskets – All components including cylinder head gaskets, engine and gearbox oil seals causing a major oil leak and require immediate replacement, where removal of the unit is essential (excludes worn seals collars and shafts).
Casings – Casings are covered if they have been damage by any of the listed parts.
Control Units / Wiring – All components including ECU, REC, UEC, solid state control units and wiring looms/ resistance circuits (excludes water damage, corroded or chewed wiring).
Exclusions – Items which require replacement as a result of damage either accidental or reckless, items requiring replacement as a result of wear, after market items/ non manufacturer approved items/ software, maintenance items including but not limited to filters, plugs, batteries, exhausts, belts, tyres and fluids.
Renewal – The warranty is renewable subject to the approval of ARJ Warranties.
